Books & Information Services
George Duncan wrote his first book promotions while he was copy chief at Grolier Enterprises for their line of juvenile and adult continuity programs. His continuity packages for The Ocean World of Jacques Cousteau and Grand Diplome Cooking Course were mailed for more than 10 years and sold millions of books. Other continuity programs include The Encyclopedia of the Animal Kingdom, Disney's Wonderful World of Reading, Boston Publishing's "Empires" Series and several Disney license continuities.
At Xerox Education Publications, he wrote packages, inserts and brochures for Weekly Reader Children's Book Clubs and a wide variety of children's, family, and general interest books.
Since starting his own business in 1976, Duncan has served a wide variety of publishers of business, professional, educational and consumer books and information products.
For five years from 1980 to 1985 he conducted semi-annual seminars for Folio magazine's publishing conferences on "How to Write and Design Direct Mail Book Promotions."
